You can be a Volunteer!

We need people from rural communities across Manitoba to participate in Farm Safety education to children, youth and families in rural Manitoba. We’ll team you up with other MFWD volunteers, provide training and invite you to join us in this important work!! It’s so important to work together and help reach as many youth and families as possible with our positive message of farm safety, health, wellness and hope. We can do it alone! Here are some examples of how can you help. We need:

  • If you are a trained social worker, nurse, counselor and other caring professional and can give a few hours of their time throughout the year – We can use your Help!

  • If you would like to be considered as a facilitator for the Safety Day programs that run during the months of May and June – We can use your Help!

  • If you have an interest in fundraising and membership renewals! – You’ll get to meet some great people!

  • Have a flare for writing? Graphic design? You can help with our newsletters or work on our website!

  • If you have an interest in attending Ag exhibits and trade shows, consider helping out at the MFWD Booth! You can help even by attending just one of these events a year!

  • We are always open to suggestions so if you have an idea for an involvement - We want to hear from you!

We take volunteers and community support very seriously. We set high standards of conduct, professionalism and care and we do expect our volunteers to work at no lesser a standard than if the job were paid. We're very grateful to every one of our volunteers as we seek to give our very best service in the work that we do. It is a very precious responsibility and we do not take it lightly.
